Space, also known as outer space, is the near-vacuum between celestial bodies. Everything from planets, stars, galaxies and black holes is found within space.
On Earth, space begins at the Kármán line. This is a line that is 100 km above sea level and is where Earth’s atmosphere is said to stop and outer space begins. It’s not a real boundary, but a convention used by scientists.
